We ordered several dishes and all were amazing and the prize was very razonable.
Also, we ordered a rose wine that it was very tasty.
The waiter who attended us was very kind.
This was the first restaurant I ate at after landing in Irákleio. With the evening weather hovering at around 45 F, it was the perfect local tavern to warm up in before calling it a night.
Items I ordered that were solid comfort food:
-Fresh pita and a plate of warm split pea mash topped with capers, onions and sundried tomatoes.
-Risotto with mushrooms, tomato and Cretan apaki (smoked pork)
-Dessert and Raki was on the house
Everything tasted delicious and the atmosphere was super cozy! Prices were also super affordable!
Loved this unique, intimate restaurant. Don't let the low prices fool you.....the food is excellent and plentiful. Our waitress, Melina, was charming: Knowledgeable, hardworking and so cheery. We had stuffed peppers, beets with walnuts, meatballs, cheese plate, carafe of house red and the pork medallions. The food was well presented and was perfectly cooked.
Hands down we thought this was a wonderful restaurant. We been all over Greece in 5 weeks. Ate here twice. Good food,large portions decent prices. Dessert and Raki on the house. Mousakas was spot on. Beetroot salad, mix meat platter of two was Hugh! Arugula salad was wonderful. Cozy atmosphere loved the music. Nice people! Provo!!!
Chicken breast with mustard sauce was nicely fried chicken breast with a thick mustard vinaigrette sauce. Not entirely bad but very simple.
The restaurant courtyard is very beautiful and deserves a 5 *. But in Greece you will have to expect people smoking all the time when you're eating. Not nice.
NB. The bottle they put on the table immediately you sit down us NOT complimentary.
Excellent service and nice atmosphere. The food was good, not extraordinary though. The sauce that comes with the meat platter should change. I would recommend it overall.
Brilliant food at very reasonable prices. We had the stuffed Peppers and the crusty bread with tomatoes and cheese which we really recommend. The moussaka and beef dish were also nice. Complimentary dessert and raki. Staff didn't seem that friendly but might have just been how their service is.
Amazing cosy little place with great atmosphere and food.
